L’INCOMMENSURABLE

Le film montre le regard que portent sur Hiroshima et Fukushima :
- Un artiste photographe dont l’expérience de l’image est mise à l’épreuve par la catastrophe nucléaire.
- Un groupe de militants d’Hiroshima pris entre mémoire et action, contre la construction d’une centrale nucléaire à 80 Km au Sud de la préfecture d’Hiroshima.
- Des habitants et des pêcheurs d’une petite île, installés face au site de la même centrale qui se mobilisent pour en bloquer la construction.
Les lieux que le film traverse sont les mêmes qui ont fait l’histoire du Japon de l’après-guerre et celle de l’industrie nucléaire : Okinawa, Hiroshima, Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo.

The film focuses around Hiroshima and Fukushima:
- An artist photographer whose experience of capturing the image is put to the test by the nuclear catastrophe.
- A group of Hiroshima militants caught between memory and action, in their stand against the construction of a nuclear power plant 80 km south of the Hiroshima Prefecture.- The inhabitants and fishermen of a small island, opposite of the site of the same power plant, who mobilize to block its construction.
The film travels to the same places that made the history in post-war Japan and that of the nuclear industry: Okinawa, Hiroshima, Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo.
