A LA RECHERCHE DU DUENDE
Du 8 au 13 Juillet 2013 un groupe de stagiaires a suivi un stage de flamenco, danse, chant et guitare,dans le mythique l'hôtel Belvédère du rayon vert à Cerbère (Pyrénées orientales°)Stage organisé par le collectif No Man' Land .Les intervenants : Concha Vargas pour la danse,Inés Bacán pour le chant et Pedro Soler pour la Guitare.Ce documentaire de 56' s'attache à reproduire l'ambiance de cette semaine flamenco.
“The flamenco dancer is looking for the duende" says Juan. To clarify his point, he quotes the great poet Federico Garcia Lorca: "The Italian seeks his muse, the French seeks inspiration and the Spanish seeks the duende." The “duende" is excess, the essence of the Spanish soul, a state out of the ordinary. It is also, according to Juan Jimena, "the normal and natural state of every human being who seeks to understand himself...”
