Résumer Londres est un défi . On aimerait tout montrer, tant la ville est insolite. Londres est multiple et inattendue à l’image de ses habitants, excentriques mais attachés à ses traditions.
Tout commence en l’an 40, quand les Romains s’installent au bord de la Tamise et fondent Londinium. Pour protéger un commerce prospère, les Romains fortifient la ville et donnent ainsi naissance au quartier que l’on appelle aujourd’hui « La City ». Malgré la grande peste en 1665 et l’incendie meurtrier de 1666, Londres n’a jamais cessé son expansion jusqu’au XXe siècle.
Big Ben, la Cathédrale Saint-Paul, Buckingham Palace, la Famille Royale et le British Museum n’en finissent pas d’attirer les voyageurs, mais il y a bon nombre d’endroits à découvrir et bien d’autres histoires à écouter.

Everything starts in the year 40, when the Romans settled on the banks of the Thames and founded Londinium. To protect a thriving business, the Romans fortify the city and give birth to the neighborhood that is now called "The City". Despite the great plague in 1665 and the deadly fire of 1666, London never ceased its expansion until the 20th Century.
Big Ben, St. Paul's Cathedral, Buckingham Palace, the Royal Family and the British Museum never cease to attract travelers, but there are many places to discover and many more stories to listen to.
