During the week of Easter, Sicily awakens to religious celebrations across the island. Guided y historian Angelo Plumari, we explore the rich and turbulent history of Sicily. The influence of Roman, Greek, Arab, Norman, Spanish, Jewish and Albanian culture have brought colour and diversity to these ceremonies.

En Sicile, durant la Semaine Sainte, se déroulent nombre de manifestations religieuses dans chaque village de l’île. L’existence de certaines communautés juives ou albanaises sur l’île donne d’autres points d’ancrage à ces fêtes. Regard sur une île qui a su garder vivantes les traditions de son lointain passé.
