En 1999 l’entreprise LEVI’s a fermé quatre usines en Europe, dont une en France, pour délocaliser sa production. Sur les 541 employés, majoritairement des femmes, 70 ont à ce jour retrouvé un emploi. Cinq portraits de femmes qui ont en commun d’avoir commencé à travailler très jeunes Malgré le chômage elles continuent d’être et de se battre.
In 1999 the firm LEVI’s closed four factories including one in France in order to produce clothes in other countries ; Among 541 employees, mostly women, only 70 have now found another work. Five women portraits who all began working when they were very young, by necessity, and being attached to their firm with the passing years, but leading different hopes and struggles. Despite unemployment they keep on being and fighting.
